I got to thinking and I was wondering if Obama is elected President. What kind of effect will that have on oppression, affirmative action and even racism? Does it change things? If the most powerful person in the world is black does that change some of the fundamental definitions of racism and oppression. It has been said that Black people cannot be racist because they don’t have the power to oppress other people. If Obama is elected is there still a need for affirmative action? I ask these questions in hopes that it does change things I hope it somehow means that we can all finally be seen as equal. And somehow it proves that everyone can achieve anything. I know there is not a lot of substance to this. I am hoping some of you can offer your thoughts on my thoughts.

I think it will be a good first step. The thing about racism is that it is in the closet. It is passed down in whispers from Father to Son, Mother to Daughter. When racism is exposed to the open it is so silly and ridiculous that it cannot stand.
I think that Obama as president would force some of that pent up resentment into the air like it already has in Palin’s rallies.
Have you seen the video of the guy with the monkey with Obama sticker wrapped around his head? When the guy saw that the cameras were on him he realized he looked like an idiot and crumpled the sticker up.
